Minister Nikia Smith Robert completed a Master’s in Divinity at Union Theological Seminary in New York, NY where she focused on Systematic Theology and Social Ethics with an emphasis on Liberation Theology.  She also studied at the Leadership Institute at Harvard University, and information systems and finance at Fairfield University.  She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Kin-dom Building Consulting, which provides churches and other not-for-profit organizations with tax, financial and strategic advisory services. Prior to seminary, Min. Robert enjoyed a successful career on Wall Street in Accounting and Investment Banking.

Responding to God’s call, Min. Robert acknowledged her desire to preach, teach and engage in social activism and has become a nationally sought after preacher and teacher.  She is currently an itinerant preacher and a licensed minister pursuing full ordination in African Methodism.  Min. Robert leads lectures, bible studies and workshops on topics such as: faith and finances, prayer and purpose, single and saved and other topics that address the struggle for justice and the lived realities of the poor and the disenfranchised.  As an activist, Min. Robert serves the prison population, particularly women incarcerated and their families.  She also serves persons and families infected and affected by HIV/AIDS.  Leading her ministry is the imperative given by Jesus to “serve the least of these” and providing empowerment along the journey is the song, “If I Can Help Somebody.”  She is equally inspired by the charge Jesus accepted in Luke 4:18 to preach the gospel to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted; to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind; and to set at liberty them that are oppressed.

Min. Robert lives in Westchester County, New York with her Husband, Lester Robert and her 1 year-old daughter, Nia Amani Keri Robert.
